What Complete Means
Most shops separate machining and assembly. At RES, Craig does both. Every clearance is measured and recorded. All components undergo a complete inspection process including magnaflux. Proprietary honing processes are verified with a profilometer bore inspection machine to ensure optimum ring seal.
When the engine leaves the shop, Craig knows exactly what's in it — because he built every part of it.
Applications
RES race engines are built for competitors who need to win. Craig's primary discipline is drag racing, with completed builds competing at the top of their class in PSCA, WCHRA, SCSN, and NMCA events. RES engines have also powered winning vehicles in circle track, sprint car, road race, marine, and offshore racing.
Whether you're running a 406 small block on pump gas or a 600-plus cubic inch big block with nitrous, the build process is the same: custom, measured, and built to your exact specification.
The Build Process
Every RES engine starts with a consultation. Craig needs to understand your combination — chassis, weight, transmission, power adder, track surface, class rules — before specifying a single component. Parts are sourced through Craig's wholesale dealer relationships with Dart Machinery, Callies Performance, Diamond Racing Products, and other premium manufacturers.
The engine is assembled in-house, dyno-tuned before delivery, and backed by Craig's trackside support. You're not buying a crate engine. You're commissioning a build.
